The star “escape” is fed up with questions about the continuation (and you can understand)

On Netflix he came back in the tops, they are already preparing a rebot on Hulu, and every time the word “escape” pops up, the audience starts to fall asleep with the same questions: “Do you want to return?” Recently one of them – Dominic Persella – is officially tired.

The actor, who played Lincoln Burrose, made clear in a fairly sharp form in social networks: he is not going to return.

In no “new season”, nor in the “continuation”, nor in the “alternative universe”. All. Enough. Point.

The post was short, but unambiguous – and I have to admit that Persell can only be understood after twenty years of discussion.

We are talking about the refutation of the “escape”, which is now being prepared for Hulu. The project takes place formally in the same universe, but the heroes will be completely new – Lily Taylor, Donal Log, Emily Browning, Margot Martindale and another dozen names from the category of “people of recognizable, but not iconic” are in the cupboards. At the same time, the Show Paul Sherding – the one who stood the source of the original creates. So the project is more like an attempt to launch an “escape 2.0” than as a direct continuation.

Old fans naturally demand the return of Michael and Lincoln – and complain that it will not be ‘that’ without them. But the obvious must admit: the series rolled down, even before it was closed for the first time, and everything that went after the first season seemed more and more tense. And now, when years later the series caught another wave of interest (thanks to Netflix), the studios decided to play according to the same schedule as with stuff majors: the brand until the last press.

With the spin-off “Force Majov”, however, ended after a season with the abolition. What will happen here is the question so far. But in any case, Dominic Persell is already closed for itself. Finally.
