Fans are still waiting for the “Wind of Winter” – but even the author of the “Witcher” is already laughing at George Martin

The “Game of Thrones” ended six years ago, the debate about the final has long since disappeared, the actors separated from new projects. And the book, which should be the basis of the whole story, remains in a Limbo. Against this background, even a genre colleagues are no longer held.

Andrzej Sapkovsky, the author of the ‘Witcher’, who spoke at the book festival in the Opla, suddenly walked through Martin – for no reason, simply because it gathered.

“If someone in the hall asks if there will be a continuation of the ‘Witcher’, I will answer immediately: I write something else. Relax. There is nothing to fear. And unlike George Martin Die I am known if I say something, I write it.”

Even with all due respect for Martin as the author, the public claims do not rise all over again. “The Song of Ice and Flame” was stuck in a Limbo, and even the writer himself already admits that the “Winds of Winter” has become a curse for him. He only calls the novel “a hugely damn book” and “the punishment of all his life”.

At the same time, Martin continues to spray: the spin-offs of the universe of the “Game of Thrones” and completely new projects, advice from HBO, books, memoirs, blogs, interviews. Everything is except that they once started reading.

Sapkovsky, however, added: he understands why Martin’s hands are put down.

“If someone committed to filming my books and then moving forward without waiting for the original, I would also think: is there a feeling when writing further? If everything had already been removed, why then?”
