For those who miss great Chris Hemsworth action (because the MCU stopped delivering it a long time ago), Tyler Rake: Rescue Mission could be a real release. Of course, we also have little insight into how the laconic original ‘Extraction’ came to be localized in this way, but that’s not a complaint about the film.
In the film itself, Hemsworth plays a former military man who easily copes with rescuing a hostage; but the part where it is necessary to ensure his safety and get him out of the city, where a hunt for him has been announced, is even worse for him. It turned out to be an “unexpectedly good” action film, as fans say, in which, besides cool fights and chases, there are also living, deep characters.
Interestingly, the film was directed by Sam Hardgrave, who previously worked on the sets of ‘John Wick’, ‘Atomic Blonde’ and ‘Birds of Prey’. It’s no wonder that a man with so much experience managed to make a decent action film for Netflix.
