A wonderful spectacle is coming.
Perhaps the most epic battle in the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy took place at Helm’s Deep.
It was there, in the land of Rohan, that men won their first major victory over the forces of evil in the person of the orcs and Dunlendings.
The valley owes its name to King Helm Hammerhand, who together with the local inhabitants resisted the blockade during the Long Winter.
Why the ninth ruler of Rohan received such a sonorous nickname, how the citadel of Hornburg turned into Helm’s Deep and what tricks his enemies resorted to, will tell the animated project “War of the Rohirrim”.
The prequel, developed by Peter Jackson as producer and directed by Kenji Kamiyama, takes viewers back 200 years to the War of the Ring.

Although the action will unfold relatively close to the events of The Hobbit, judging by the promotional material, the creators will present an independent story featuring Brian Cox, Gaia Wise and Sean Dooley.
The voice-over narrator was provided by Miranda Otto, known for her role as Eowyn in feature films.
Jackson’s direction and closeness to the original source allows us to say that the anime film will definitely fit into the canon.
And Kamiyama’s presence in the director’s chair promises a spectacular film that will be hard to tear yourself away from until the credits roll.

So it’s unlikely that the upcoming cartoon will change ideas about Middle-earth, but the good news is that it doesn’t have to.
Instead, our favorite cinematic universe awaits us, but in a whole new style.
