Their first meeting was not so romantic.
King Charles III first met Lady Diana when she was only 16 years old. In an interview on the occasion of their engagement, the monarch said that the young beauty was cheerful and funny. Diana said the prince was a wonderful person. However, the acquaintance would not have happened without one juicy detail.
The first meeting took place at the Althorp estate, where the prince was invited by Diana’s sister Sarah Spencer. They say that she had an affair with Charles III, which is why she called him on a joint vacation. The couple was even seen together several times.
However, their relationship did not work out. Lady Sarah explained that she just didn’t like the Queen’s son. She also called him “too slow,” according to The Voice.
