Looks like Katy Perry will remember her strange hat and ridiculous outfit at Charles III’s coronation for a long time to come. Even the king himself played a prank on the singer, and he did it in a very original form.
The star came to the ceremony in a bright pink suit and a frilly hat, which greatly bothered her. Photos of Perry spread across social networks and people started making memes out of them. And so the king found a way to fool the artist.
Katie appeared on American Idol broadcast live from Windsor Castle. Singer Lionel Richie stood next to her and a second later the real monarch and his wife Camilla appeared on screen.
Charles III thanked Perry for her performance after the coronation. And with a smile, he added that the stars should not linger in the throne room, where other events are scheduled, jokingly chasing the singer out of the room.
