Keke Palmer announced via Instagram on Monday that she has given birth to her first child, a son named Leodis Andrellton, with boyfriend Darius Jackson.
Sharing her first picture as a mom out of the hospital cradling her baby boy, the 29-year-old actress looked at peace as her husband looked lovingly at their baby.
In her beautiful slideshow, the Emmy-winning actress struggled through her first 48 hours as a parent as she caught a glimpse of her bundle of joy, dressed in a light gray patterned onesie and white beanie.
Another photo of her little one showed him sleeping next to a stuffed elephant in a green sweater, while a hilarious video showed the new parents tucked into the car as they took their child home for the first time.
“I’m not hiding the world from my son, I’m hiding my son from the world,” she joked in the caption.

While chatting with the 48-year-old host about the star sign, the Nope star revealed she’s expecting a boy.
“So my baby will either be a Pisces or an Aries,” she gushed. Pisces are known for being very deep. They are emotional beings. So I want to make sure I’m not rude to my son.”
She went on to admit that “sometimes” she can talk a little too much about what it’s like and may need to learn to “waddle like a fish in the water” and “keep calm.”

Before her interview, fans speculated that Palmer was getting a girlfriend after she tweeted that “when guys are disappointed they get a girlfriend, it kills her.”
She called little girls “a blessing.”
The artist first confirmed she was pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Darius Jackson while hosting Saturday Night Live last December.
She announced her pregnancy while delivering her opening monologue by unzipping her jacket to “set the record straight” and giving viewers a glimpse of her baby bump before exclaiming, “I’m going to be a mom!”
Keke has been in a relationship with her baby daddy since 2021. The two lovebirds announced their romance on Instagram in August 2021.
Shortly after the announcement aired live on SNL, Darius confirmed he was the father by uploading an adorable photo of Keke cradling her baby bump with the simple caption, “2023” and a red heart emoji.

Palmer recently reflected on the struggle of growing up in the spotlight after landing his own Nickelodeon series, True Jackson, VP, in 2008.
The singer, who won rave reviews for her breakout performance as the 11-year-old spelling prodigy in Akeelah and the Bee (2006), admitted in a new interview with THR that being a household name has come with its challenges.
Recalling her decision to accept a week-long Nickelodeon cruise for her entire family in 2009 in exchange for a few hours of autographs, the singer said the stress of her trip left her “passionate with fear.”

“I felt like I was walking around in a SpongeBob suit that I couldn’t take off,” the Scream Queens star said after noticing she could barely leave her cabin. “I was trapped.”
She continued, “I couldn’t leave my room without someone coming up to me and calling me True Jackson. What you are is just a character for everyone…just a part of their experience.”
Still, Palmer admitted that she understands that the “child star storyline” — in which the price of fame causes numerous problems for talented young actors such as Britney Spears, Amanda Bynes and Lindsay Lohan — is “overblown.”
Still, she points out, “For those of you who think a normal childhood is overrated, nothing is overrated if you didn’t have it.”
