Love Island’s Haris Namani has already been called “disrespectful” by viewers who watched Monday’s opening episode.
The winter series, fronted by new presenter Maya Jama, launched in South Africa with the 20-year-old TV salesman boldly declaring that he had “never been in a relationship”.
But eagle-eyed fans took to Twitter to call Haris out after discovering loved-up videos his ex-girlfriend Courtney Hodgson posted on TikTok.

During his introductory video, he said, “I’ve never had butterflies and I’ve never fallen in love,” before excluding all single ladies with feet bigger than a size five.
When asked by Maya if he was “a relationship guy,” he replied, “I’ve never been in a relationship so it’s hard for me.”
A fan took to Twitter and uploaded a video compilation of Haris with his former influencer.

In a follow-up comment, the furious social media star added: “The biggest player out there is leaving me for a TV show and I called them as soon as he left me.”
Asked how he knew when he found “the one,” Haris said before entering the mansion, “The girls I’ve had in the past, I’ve never really come out of my shell with the loving part not.”
He added: “I mean, I was nice to the girls, it’s not a big deal, but I never really felt that way.
“But when I’m on the show with a girl for nine weeks, I can finally get out of myself a little bit more.
“In the past I’ve never been with a girl that much because I’m always working out and I have a job.
“So imagine being with a girl every day for nine weeks, it will be different. You could probably see it right away. I would know.’
