British adult film actress Bonnie Gee has confessed that she has never had a one-night stand in her life due to personal safety concerns.
Speaking to online publication Creatorzine, the 33-year-old performer explained that prior to entering the adult entertainment industry she engaged exclusively in long-term relationships and continues to harbour a deep-seated fear of casual intimacy.

Gee stressed that her reluctance to engage in casual sexual encounters does not stem from squeamishness or disgust. Instead, she described it strictly as a matter of personal security, stating that she feels significantly more comfortable performing on a movie set than bringing someone home from a dating mobile application.
Adult film productions typically operate under formal industry workplace protocols, including pre-negotiated scene parameters, mandatory health screenings, and designated crew members to enforce boundaries. In contrast, encounters arranged through modern online dating platforms carry inherent safety concerns because individuals meet strangers without professional oversight or verified background checks.
Professional boundaries and studio rules
Addressing her work environment, Gee noted that adult film studios provide a structured setting where all personal boundaries are explicitly negotiated in advance. She added that established studio rules are clearly understood by all participants, ensuring that no one falsely pretends an encounter represents the beginning of a romantic relationship.
The adult performer emphasised that filmed sex scenes function strictly as professional work, art, and performance. In the adult entertainment business, actors routinely separate on-camera performances from their private personal lives.
Gee also clarified that her identity extends well beyond her professional erotic video shoots. While she enjoys performing, entertaining audiences, and providing pleasure while at work, she maintained that she is an entirely different woman in her private life, on personal dates, and within her private relationships.
Contrasting professional and personal lives
Gee is not the only adult industry practitioner to draw a strict line between work obligations and personal intimacy. British BDSM mistress Melissa Todd previously detailed how her professional work differs from her intimate routine at home.
Todd explained that while clients pay her to take control and dominate them in bed during professional sessions, she prefers to surrender control to her husband in her real-life relationship.
Practitioners across specialized fields of adult work often report maintaining sharp boundaries to preserve emotional health and physical safety. By keeping commercial work strictly structured and contractual, performers can maintain distinct personal lives outside the workplace environment.
