Australian tourist Billy Aspinall has been deported from Indonesia and banned from entering the country for 10 years after engaging in a sexual act near a villa on the resort island of Bali.
The 27-year-old was arrested by law enforcement officers at Denpasar airport at the end of August before being placed in a detention facility for foreign nationals. He spent two weeks in custody while Indonesian authorities reviewed his case, according to a report by the Daily Mail.
Aspinall had faced a potential prison sentence of up to one year under Indonesian law. However, officials ultimately decided against holding him for trial, ordering his immediate deportation and issuing a 10-year prohibition on his return to the country.

The deportation followed an incident outside a home on Bali, where Aspinall engaged in a sexual act with a woman near the villa. The encounter was recorded by local security cameras installed on the property.
A local resident witnessed the act after leaving her house to attend evening prayers, spotting the two strangers outside her home during her walk.
Following his arrest, Aspinall told police that he had flown to Bali for a four-day trip to attend a friend's wedding. He stated that he did not know the name or the nationality of the woman involved in the encounter.
According to police, Aspinall explained that he had met the woman at a local club earlier in the evening and that both of them were drunk when the incident occurred.
