Former Married at First Sight bride Bec Zacharia has reignited her public feud with fellow reality television star Domenica Calarco after launching a critical social media video. Zacharia lashed out on TikTok following comments Calarco made during a recent podcast interview.

The conflict erupted on Thursday after Calarco mentioned Zacharia during a discussion with podcaster Carly Portch. Calarco accused Zacharia of making "really diabolical comments" about her, prompting Zacharia to publish a lengthy response online.

Zacharia, 35, took to TikTok to address 33-year-old Calarco directly, stating that she felt compelled to speak out against what she described as continuous internet trolling and public criticism.

"I can't be quiet... Whenever Domenica is bullying me on the internet and trolling me on the internet it's okay, because that's her opinion. But when it's flipped around and people are doing it to her, it's not acceptable," Zacharia began in her video.

Zacharia recalled the height of their previous clash when she underwent cosmetic treatment overseas, claiming Calarco engaged in a public media campaign against her during her recovery process.

"I think you forget that when I was in Bali getting my snatched waist procedure, you were saying some of the most vicious, heinous, vile things about me," Zacharia said. "You went to the media. You did interviews about it. And you forget that when you're on the receiving end of it, it hurts."

The two reality stars clashed over Bec's controversial 'Barbie waist' surgery in Bali, with Dom (pictured) accusing Bec of undergoing the surgery due to her 'insecurities'

Despite the sharp criticism, Zacharia expressed sympathy regarding recent online harassment aimed at Calarco and her family. Calarco had recently been targeted by trolled comments directed at both herself and her one-year-old daughter, Dove.

"I'm so sorry that you've had to deal with it, because I wouldn't wish it upon anyone, especially when it's involving your child," Zacharia stated in her post.

She urged Calarco to reflect on how she delivers her opinions to others, drawing parallels to her own personal growth following her appearance on reality television.

"But you also have these opinions, and you've got a lot of them, and you are so vicious in your delivery of them, that I hope this situation has maybe made you think a little bit," Zacharia said. She concluded: "I'm sorry that has happened to you, but I do hope that you grow from it, just like I have from MAFS okay? Go touch grass, honey."

Origins of the Barbie Waist Controversy

The dispute between the two former brides first escalated earlier this year following Zacharia's choice to travel to Indonesia for cosmetic surgery. The controversial procedure, commonly referred to as a "Barbie waist" treatment, generated widespread debate among followers and reality television alumni.

Married at First Sight is a popular reality television relationship experiment where participants are paired by experts and meet for the first time at the altar. Cast members routinely build significant social media followings, leading to high-profile public exchanges after their television seasons end.

Calarco, who rose to prominence after appearing on season nine of the reality series in 2022, publicly questioned Zacharia's motivations. She accused Zacharia of undergoing the body modification procedure due to her "insecurities."

The tension intensified after Calarco posted a comment directly on an Instagram video documenting Zacharia's procedure. "Oh, I get it now. Just another PR ploy to fix her public perception," Calarco wrote in response to the footage.

Zacharia rejected the claim that the surgery was a publicity stunt. She issued a detailed statement to Woman's Day magazine, maintaining that she was being targeted by online hostility for choosing to alter her body.

Bec has addressed the fierce backlash surrounding her Bali procedure and insisted she did not undergo rib removal

"The level of personal attacks, bullying and abuse directed at me says far more about the character of those making those comments than it does about mine," Zacharia told Woman's Day. "I believe every person has the right to make informed decisions about their own body without being subjected to harassment or cruelty."

Zacharia explained that she wanted to share a "transparent account of my experience" and affirmed that the procedure was her decision alone.

Rib Contouring and Future Procedures

Zacharia later clarified specific details regarding her body modification during an appearance on Daily Mail Australia's MAFS Unleashed podcast. Addressing public backlash surrounding her treatment in Bali, she insisted she had not undergone a rib removal.

"It's not rib removal, it's rib contouring," Zacharia explained during the podcast appearance.

The reality star is preparing to undergo even more cosmetic work as part of her head-to-toe transformation

She detailed that the procedure involved altering her lower floating ribs and wearing a tightly-fitted corset during her recovery. Doctors used a small needle and ultrasonic technology without making surgical incisions, and Zacharia noted she took paracetamol for just four days afterwards.

Bali has grown into a prominent destination for international medical tourism and cosmetic procedures. Specialized body contouring treatments using ultrasonic technology are increasingly sought out by individuals seeking cosmetic reshaping.

Zacharia also addressed critics of her 30kg weight loss during her discussion of the backlash. Moving forward, the reality star is preparing for further cosmetic work as part of a head-to-toe transformation, considering a facial "nip-tuck", Botox, fillers, and additional skin treatments.
