Does everyone have a story about accidentally drinking wine instead of cherry juice at a holiday feast as a child? As an adult, these stories reached a new level. But before we move on to storytelling, let’s give some information about our department. Here girls (anonymously or anonymously) talk about their most embarrassing, funny, unpleasant (or all of the above at once) beauty stories. And we learn from their experiences. Now let’s get into the story!
Katya, 23 years old
About a year ago, I came to visit my family for the holiday. At that time, my beloved ginger cat, which my sister and I once picked up off the street, was living in their house. It is worth saying that he is very curious – if you are taking a bath, he walks along the edge and touches the foam with his paw, and if the washing machine is running, he always helps the drum to spin (regardless of the cup). It has a special relationship with water in general. Unlike other cats, she is not afraid of him, on the contrary, she enjoys contact with him.
This holiday I decided to wash it. My sister and I usually take turns doing this. Everything was sparkling and clean as always. After that, my mother went to the bathhouse. It is worth saying that shortly before that, she dyed her hair red, so there was a toning shampoo, conditioner and mask on the shelf – everything is as it should be. She washed herself, came out of the bathroom and asked me: “What kind of shampoo did you put on so beautifully?” I didn’t know what he was talking about, then he brought me a box of Davines shampoo.
Now let’s rewind a little; My sister came to my family for cat foster care while she was on vacation. Therefore, he brought everything necessary for his care: scratching post, comb, food and shampoo. However, since her shampoo was in a large 400ml jar, she decided to pour it into another container. And I couldn’t find a better solution for this than using another product jar that was already empty.
I think you already understood what happened: I forgot to put the cat’s shampoo back in the drawer, and my mother washed her hair with it, not knowing all the subtleties. That’s why I couldn’t hold back my laughter when I saw this jar in front of me. After I told my mother, she said of course.
For reference, cat and dog shampoos have a more alkaline formula because they need to rinse thick coats thoroughly. Therefore, such products contain more aggressive surfactants that can damage the acid-lipid mantle of human skin.
Everything went well, my mom didn’t turn into a cat like Hermione in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and it didn’t affect her scalp in any way, but now we only keep the pet shampoo in its original jar.
