Every morning on The Fashion Vibes starts the same way. This is already a tradition. tradition. We call it a ritual. Everyone takes off their eye patches, and 20 minutes later there are more people who look asleep and ready to go. Why do we appreciate patches for this and how do we use them correctly to achieve maximum results?
Why are patches needed?
The patches are like a serum for the facial skin, but only for the area under the eyes. This is an additional care step aimed at moisturizing. They provide two effects, cumulative and short-term. If you use the patches every day, the first one will work. And if you remember them every Saturday the morning after the party, they provide a short-term effect – removing puffiness and minimizing dark circles under the eyes. However, if not just for the ability to rest the face every 15 minutes, did the patches deserve worldwide love?
How to use?
Traditionally, patches are glued (or molded) under the eyes. But in general, they can be used for any area of the face that needs additional hydration. For example, stick it on the forehead, between the eyebrows or in the nasolabial folds – let your imagination go.
How to shape patches correctly?

If your goal is to get rid of dark circles under the eyes after a sleepless night, the patches should be shaped so that the wide side is in the inner corner of the eye. If the task is to smooth out mimic wrinkles, it is better to place them so that the wide side is on the outer edge of the eye.
How long should it hold?
The working principle of patches is the same as that of a tissue mask. For the first 15-20 minutes, the hydrogel gives moisture and then starts working in the opposite direction. That’s why it’s best to set yourself a timer so you don’t miss the time to remove patches.
Which ones to choose?
There are hydrogel and fabric patches. The first is usually immediately sold in large quantities in round stamps. And the latter, on the contrary, is more common by piece.
Fabric patches adhere better to the skin and do not slip. But among the hydrogel ones there are also those that can be glued, and they will be fixed. Therefore, there is no general difference between the two types of patches other than material, and the choice is entirely up to your preferences.
There is also a relatively new type of patch – liquid. They are similar in texture to a cream or gel and are referred to as “patches” because they are only used for the eye area.
Where should patches be stored?
Many people think the refrigerator is the best place to store masks and bandages. But in fact, this is not necessary unless the manufacturer writes otherwise. Hydrogel patches give a cooling effect due to the material from which they are made. However, if you still want to increase the refreshing effect, you can leave the patches in the refrigerator for a short time before applying.
