“Bodyweight circuit exercises get your heart rate up and can be done anywhere. The key is to choose 3-5 compound movements and execute them in rapid succession. Compound movements are exercises in which two or more joints move. Examples include squats, lunges, push-ups, burpees and presses. Adding a protein shake after your workout can help improve recovery, increase feelings of fullness, and even boost your metabolism.

To do two of Erin’s workout circuits, follow these steps:
Circuit 1, 15 reps per movement:
1. “Bodyweight Squats
2. Climbers
3. Reverse lunges
4. Push-ups
5. Layered squats
6. Quick Squats”

Circuit 2, 15 reps per movement:
1. “Burpees
2. Split Squat
3. You jump
4. Diamond push-ups
5. Lunge forward
6. Jumping Jacks”

“Circuits combine strength and cardio moves, so you can sculpt your muscles and lean out. They can be repeated once or twice each, depending on your fitness level.

As for some exercises you can do between jobs for quick little breaks to get you moving, Erin shared: “Leg raises are great for activating and energizing your glutes, while standing crunches can help strengthen your abs.. If you have access to the stairs, a quick 5 minute climb gets your blood pumping!

To motivate yourself to exercise when you’re stuck at home, Erin suggested, “Create a designated workout area and create or find exercises you can do. Get ready to work out like you would go to the gym. Turn up the volume on a song and go for it. You will find that you are more focused and can exercise better at home since there are fewer distractions. Have a plan and set an exact time for exercise. Like anything else, it’s not going to just happen, you have to make it happen. Results can be seen in as little as two weeks, so a bikini top is within reach. Go for them!”
