The television series Arsenyev premiered in Vladivostok on September 10 to mark the birthday of Far East researcher, writer, and explorer Vladimir Arsenyev. The first two episodes of the historical drama were presented during a special screening at the Ocean cinema.
Cast members walked the red carpet outside the venue before the presentation. Lead actor Yevgeny Mironov, who plays the title role, attended the event alongside co-stars Yulia Khlynina and Viktor Verzhbitsky.
Production took place across multiple cities in Russia, with filming conducted in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Vladivostok. Regional governor Oleg Kozhemyako noted that while work on the series was challenging, the production team successfully completed the film.
Regional support and production
Kozhemyako highlighted the organizational contribution of Mironov, who spearheaded the production effort and united the project participants. The governor said Mironov managed complex work across Primorsky Krai and the rest of the country, describing him as deeply dedicated to both Arsenyev and the region.

Mironov thanked everyone who participated in creating the series. He said he was happy to hold the premiere in Vladivostok, which he described as Arsenyev's native city, rather than holding the first showing in Moscow or St. Petersburg on the explorer's birthday.
Vladimir Arsenyev was a Russian explorer, military officer, and author who spent years mapping the wilderness and indigenous cultures of the Russian Far East. Vladivostok, a key Pacific port city, is the administrative center of Primorsky Krai, where much of Arsenyev's historical work took place.
Broadcasting and release plans
The eight-episode series is planned as one of the largest television events related to the history of the Far East. The creators expect the project to attract broad audience interest in the cultural and historical heritage of the region.
Following the initial screening in Vladivostok, the series is scheduled for a nationwide broadcast. The full television premiere will take place by the end of the year on the Russia TV channel.
