Honored Artist of Russia Anastasia Volochkova missed her August 10 flight to the Maldives after remaining in an airport restaurant area until boarding ended.

Airline Aeroflot reported on Telegram that all passengers who arrived at the gate on time departed. Only Volochkova and her director were refused boarding after approaching the desk at 22:18, two minutes after boarding closed at 22:16.
The carrier noted that the boarding time was displayed on airport monitors and printed on the travelers boarding passes.
Surveillance Video and Announcements
According to security video footage, both passengers were absent from the gate throughout the boarding process. Representatives from the airline said cameras showed them walking toward the gate from a distant terminal restaurant area at 22:16.
Aeroflot added that public address announcements provided regular boarding updates and called late passengers to the gate by name.
The airline stated that while it treats passengers with respect, preflight procedures are strictly regulated and travelers must follow them. Volochkova previously caused a scandal at the airport and accused Aeroflot of mistreatment, claiming she was standing right at the gate when refused entry.
