Ana de Armas gave fans a glimpse into her summer with Venezuelan musician Alberto "Beto" Montenegro, sharing a set of Instagram photos on Thursday that featured friends, food and her toned physique, months after her brief romance with Tom Cruise came to an end.
The 38-year-old Cuban-American actress, known for roles in Knives Out, the James Bond film No Time to Die and Blonde, in which she played Marilyn Monroe, showed off her figure in a lilac floral bikini while posing on a luxury boat trip, displaying her trim midriff as she soaked up the sun. In another photo, she wore a plunging halterneck top for a night out.
De Armas recently holidayed in Formentera, an island in Spain's Balearic archipelago known for its beaches and turquoise waters, with Montenegro. The pair were photographed sharing a kiss on the shore, and she appeared smitten with the 37-year-old, who is the lead vocalist and guitarist of the Venezuelan band Rawayana.
Who is Beto Montenegro?
Rawayana is a Grammy-winning band formed in 2007 that blends multiple genres into what has been described as a "trippy pop" sound. The group has performed at major festivals including Coachella and Lollapalooza, and is scheduled to play Los Angeles's 18,000-seat Kia Forum in November, with a show in Peru set for August 15.
Alongside his work with Rawayana, Montenegro also performs with the South American supergroup Astropical, alongside Li Saumet and Jose Castillo of the Colombian band Bomba Estereo.
It is unclear exactly when the romance between de Armas and Montenegro began, though the pair were reportedly first seen together publicly in July. Representatives for de Armas have been contacted for comment.
De Armas's split from Tom Cruise
De Armas's public affection for her new boyfriend comes months after she ended her relationship with Cruise, 64, a star of the Top Gun and Mission: Impossible franchises across a decades-long career. The pair split in October after reportedly dating for nine months, with de Armas said to have felt "uncomfortable" with his fast-paced lifestyle.
According to Us Weekly, de Armas felt the relationship was moving too quickly. "Things were moving fast, and she started to get a little uncomfortable with how fast it was going," an insider told the outlet.
The insider said the Ballerina star, a reference to her role in the 2025 action film Ballerina, a spin-off of the John Wick franchise, "put the brakes on" the romance but "still likes [Cruise] a lot," adding that the two had "undeniable chemistry." Though the couple are "done for now," the source said they "have a connection" and "will see how things go in the future."
De Armas and Cruise are reportedly remaining friends and colleagues.
