Ukrainian rap star Alyona Alyona has updated fans on her condition from hospital after undergoing bariatric surgery to reduce the size of her stomach.
The musician told followers on social media that she was on her second day of recovery following the procedure, confirming that medical staff had removed her surgical drainage tube.
Showing the small healing incisions on her abdomen, the artist explained that she was experiencing tight pulling sensations across different areas of her body. Despite the physical discomfort, she reassured her audience that there was nothing alarming to worry about and added that she was already up on her feet and able to walk.
Health complications and hospital care
Alyona Alyona revealed that the surgery also brought several other health issues to light. Doctors removed her gallbladder during the operation, and postoperative examinations showed that she had an enlarged liver with excess fat tissue, as well as a surgical hernia.
She also noted that an X-ray uncovered remnants of bronchitis from an earlier illness, which doctors had warned risked turning into a chronic condition. She remains under medical observation in the hospital for her ongoing rehabilitation and must drink water strictly through a straw.

Bariatric surgery encompasses surgical procedures, such as gastric bypass or sleeve operations, that alter the digestive system or limit stomach capacity to help patients achieve significant weight reduction.
Alyona Alyona, whose real name is Aliona Savranenko, established herself as one of Ukraine's leading hip hop artists after her debut single Ribki became a viral hit in 2018. Before launching her professional music career, she worked for several years as a kindergarten teacher and educator in the Kyiv region.
Her international profile grew significantly in May 2024 when she and singer Jerry Heil represented Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo, Sweden. Their collaborative entry, Teresa and Maria, earned critical acclaim and finished third in the grand final.
