Alan Shearer's daughter Hollie has married England rugby star Joe Marchant in a lavish ceremony at L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in France.
Hollie shared photos from her big day on Instagram, and her father posted his own snaps from the wedding. "Wow!!! What a weekend. Daughter number 2 now married. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Marchant," Alan wrote.
Hollie wore a strapless wedding dress with a rose gathering at the waist for the ceremony, and also stepped out in a jaw-dropping white lace gown. Joe wore a beige two-piece suit with smart loafers. In one photo, the newlyweds were seen signing the wedding register, with Hollie flashing her ring.
The French celebration came two weeks after Hollie and Joe held their legal wedding, where the bride wore a white mini dress.
Hollie's hen do
Last month, Hollie celebrated her hen do abroad with her mother, Lainya, her sister Chloe, 33, and her bridal party. She wore a white bikini with a personalised "Mrs Marchant" sarong. Photos from day three showed the group drinking champagne on the beach before heading back to their villa for Aperol Spritzes and pizza. In one snap, Hollie wore an oversized T-shirt reading "Wifey wants a spritz," and her father commented with a red heart face emoji.
The engagement
Hollie announced the couple's engagement on Instagram with a photo of the pair in front of the Eiffel Tower, showing off her diamond ring. "BEST DAY EVER!! Got to say yes to my favourite person," she captioned the post. Her father responded with a string of heart-eye and clapping hands emojis. Hollie confirmed her romance with Joe in April 2022, four months after the pair started dating.
Who is Joe Marchant?
Joe is a professional rugby player who has played centre for England and was a key figure for Steve Borthwick's national side as they finished third at the 2023 World Cup. He moved from Harlequins to Top 14 club Stade Français, based in Paris, in December 2022.
Alan Shearer holds the record for the most goals scored in Premier League history and now works as a BBC pundit. Asked previously about his daughter's romance with Joe, he said: "I'm just glad it's not a footballer."
