A family with young children has experienced their first night sleeping outdoors in the French Alps, guided through the Chablais massif in Haute-Savoie on a mountain bivouac.

The hikers, who had never before slept in open nature, were accompanied by a professional mountain guide throughout the journey. Along the trail, the group gradually discovered the wild landscape, which at times proved remarkably generous.

The experience also led the holidaymakers to rediscover long-forgotten instincts, according to the report.
