The All England Club announced on Thursday that Wimbledon players will be allowed to wear dark underwear from next year’s tournament.
Voices arose demanding that Wimbledon change its rules requiring players to wear all-white clothing to reduce anxiety about their menstrual cycles. In July, British tennis star Alicia Barnett talked about the stress of wearing white at Wimbledon while on her period and trying to play top-notch tennis while feeling it. “bloated and tired”.

Sally Bolton, Managing Director of All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, said: “We are committed to supporting the players and listening to their feedback on how they can do their best.
