Wimbledon: The end of white clothing for women has finally been registered, players can wear dark underwear

Wimbledon will loosen its white dress code from next year, allowing women to wear dark underwear to lessen their menstrual cycle concerns.

The All England Club announced on Thursday that Wimbledon players will be allowed to wear dark underwear from next year’s tournament.

Voices arose demanding that Wimbledon change its rules requiring players to wear all-white clothing to reduce anxiety about their menstrual cycles. In July, British tennis star Alicia Barnett talked about the stress of wearing white at Wimbledon while on her period and trying to play top-notch tennis while feeling it. “bloated and tired”.

He added: “I think it’s hard enough to menstruate on the track, but it’s not easy to wear white on it either.”

Sally Bolton, Managing Director of All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, said: “We are committed to supporting the players and listening to their feedback on how they can do their best. I am pleased to confirm that after consultation with the players and representatives of multiple stakeholder groups, the Management Committee has made the decision to update the white.” Dress code at Wimbledon

The next Wimbledon Championship will be held on 3-16 July 2023.
