In an Instagram post*, Ariana wrote that she’s counting down the days until the release of For Good, the sequel to Wicked. “Happy 20 days @wickedmovie,” Grande captioned the post, which included a photo of her and Eriv on set, as well as a photo of their arms, showing that they have matching tattoos.
The cast and crew of Wicked talked about how the pop star and Tony Award winner, who plays Galinda and Elphaba, became close while working on the musical adaptation. “It was one of the most beautiful friendship stories,” director Jon M. Chu shared. “Two of the biggest stars in the world, maybe in our entire lives. They may hate each other. They may have crazy animosity, but they always put the ‘Bad’ in front of them, and I think that’s a great sign of a great artist getting caught up in the characters of Elphaba and Galinda and finding themselves in them.”
At a Canva Create event in April, Erivo said singing with Grande was “really cool and a little bit addictive”: “When you work with someone who gets you, who can look you in the eye and know exactly what you need and when you need it without you having to say anything.”
By the way, it was previously known that Ariana Grande would take part in the new season of American Horror Story.
