After opening in five theaters on Nov. 18, Bones and All has grossed $120,000, or nearly $24,000 per theater, according to Deadline.

79% of cinemagoers were between 18 and 34 years old, with 54% of cinemagoers being women.

Bones and All will be released in the United States on Wednesday, November 23.

“I hope that audiences will be ready for this by Thanksgiving time,” said Erik Lomis, president of United Artists Releasing.

The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival in Venice in September. The film’s director, Luca Guadagnino, won the event’s Silver Lion for Best Director.

Bones and All tells the story of “Maren (Taylor Russell), a young woman learning how to survive on the fringes of society,” according to the film’s IMDb page.

She meets a man named Lee and the two cross the country doing what they can to find their way.

Chalamet and Russell star alongside Bridge of Spies actor Mark Rylance, The Eddy actor André Holland and Generation actress Madeleine Hall.

To play his role, Chalamet reportedly lost some weight to look like a cannibal loafer.

The 26-year-old Oscar nominee joined director Luca Guadagnino and co-star Taylor Russell for the Variety shoot – with the candid interview also revealing troubled Armie Hammer in coveted Call Me By Your Name sequel can play

Explaining one of his opening lines in the film, Chalamet said, “When you’re 140 pounds soaking wet, you’ve got to have an attitude — a big attitude,” Chalamet said of losing weight, adding, “That look that Maren and Lee have , I think the fuel for the wonderful quality of the story and the people who live in extremes.

“Perhaps contrary to what reality would be: if you consistently devour whole human bodies, you’re likely to leave behind a larger figure than you have.”

The project reunites Chalamet with director Guadagnino, who helmed the phenomenally successful 2017 romance drama Call Me By Your Name, in which the actor starred alongside disgraced actor Armie Hammer.

Hammer (36) is currently on the loose in Hollywood after being accused of sexual assault and a cannibalistic fetish.
